The breeze gently blows across your face, a warm calming sensation.

You breathe out slowly, feeling the breath intertwine with the wind.

Closing your eyes you stay as still as you can and take in the gentle noises.

The leaves rustling, the birds chirping and the faint sound of the occasional car.

You hear these noises and feel them fill you with a small bit of joy.

The liveliness and life in each noise which reminds you that you are not alone.

Along with the breeze that blows faintly over your face and ruffles your hair, just enough to be reassuring.

Music 2

The melody folds around you, capturing your mind. Holding your attention for more than a minute. The notes swirling around in your mind. The gift of the sight your ears provide you, different than your normal sight yet able to open your eyes and mind in ways you never thought possible.

There's a kind of magic in the way music takes you to a different place. A place that should be free from judgement, bring people together. There are certain things only able to be expressed freely through music.

The position of the notes and the wsy it folds together to create harmonies trigger memories of times long gone. A breath on the wind, a heart beating to the time of the grandfather clock. No-one but you can bring these memories forward and use the music as your tool for rememberance.

Focus. Focus on your tranquility, your breathing. Hear the beat of your breaths. Focus on the calm this can bring you.

Music

After a long stressful day, you let the music flow through you. The sensations sending miniature vibrations to your brain. The buzz stops as the song shits to a more calming rythm. The notes strike your imagination like an xylophone. Soft in tone but regular in pace. Your eyes close to the harmonies brought to your ears.

If sound is just vibrations then how can music sound so sweet? It is a questions perhaps no-one will ever answer though who needs answers when you have something better. The music is right here, you could just embrace it instead of asking impossible questions.

You allow your body to droop, taking in the music. Letting the music surround you, one breath at a time. Breathing in the melody, the notes and the harmonies. Whether someone's singing to you or you're just listening to an instrument follow the melody, hell maybe even techno helps you relax.

No-one is judging you right now, music can bring people together or it can be a solitary thing, it doesn't matter which one you choose, just let the music calm you as you slip into calm.

Tea

You take a sip of the calming liquid and as the warm tea makes its way down your throat you feel it's warmth.

Tea is the one thing that makes you instantly forget all of the chaos around you and inside you to focus on the calming taste and warmth of the liquid.

You feel the tea rest inside your belly, the calm already radiating out and reaching your limbs. Total calm falls upon you and you lean back in your chair while letting your arms fall limp.

Your legs stretch out and you allow them to fall as they please, you're no longer trying to control your body. You just let the calm take over as your body stretches out and does what it will.

You start to feel drowsy and before long you've taken the final sip of your tea. You start to close your eyes, just letting go and staying there as long as you please.

You could have a nap or you could just lie there, whatever you feel comfortable with. All that matters is that you relax and decide not to let the days burdens weigh too heavily on you.

Drawing

You put your pencil onto the paper, sketching out a couple of shapes. These shapes could become anthing right now.

You just keep sketching, running your pencil along the paper and hearing the soft sound it makes.

Slowly bringing something new into existence, finding a new idea and expressing it.

Whether it be the soft curve of a circle or the straight lines of a rectangle or square, the drawing comes to life through you and your pencil.

You take deep breaths as you draw, breathing in the new expression. Each drawing comes with a new experience and that experience will be different for everyone. You are the only person who knows what it's really about and as you smile at the drawing you realise what truly makes it special.

Heartbeat

You hear your heart pounding as you sit curled up into a ball. When everything gets too much you are super aware of each tiny little thing.

It's one of the only times you remind yourself to breathe and calm down to hear the quiet 'b-dmp b-dmp' of your heart.

You are reminded that it exists and that you're human. A perfect, unique human. You aren't any different from most other people and all of you have a heart.

You tell yourself it's okay to not be ready to face the world at the moment but to hold your head up high when you do. No matter what, through everything your heart always keeps beating.

If it can face the challenges, so can you. Your heart beats softly, lulling you to sleep. As you exhale, your eyes flutter closed and you drift off to sleep.

Rain

You're sitting outside on the steps up to your front door, you can hear the rain on the roof and a few droplets find their way down to drip onto you.

The droplets are calm and cold enough to relax your tense body slightly.

You shuffle down a step and let it rain down onto your face, breathing in the cooler air and letting calm take over. You take a deep breath and feel the raindrops rolling off your shoulders and racing down your face.

It's a spring shower so you know that staying out here won't cause you to catch a cold.

At this point, your clothes are soaked though they're cold and the coolness of your shirt makes it less of a burden to carry.

You take off your shoes and tip the water that has gathered out of them. After putting your shoes back on you walk into the middle of the garden and stand there just letting the rain pour down on you. Occasionally you open your mouth and catch raindrops as they fall, the cold grounding you in reality.

There's no-one to disturb you as you stand in your secret little haven with water dripping off of you.

Occasionally someone passes by with an umbrella or a little kid tries to run out into the rain only to be scooped up and taken back inside by their mother both of them laughing. But no-one looks at you and you get to have this little bit of rain all to yourself.

You laugh into the rain, maybe challenging the rain or maybe your in a childlike state enthralled by its beauty. Whether a little giggle or a full belly laugh, you're embracing the rain and telling it to come back soon.

Apologising for all those times you say 'rain, rain, go away'. You're chosing to revel in the rain and recognise it's true beauty.

You take one last deep breath, bringing in the calming scent of fresh rain before stepping inside.
